    Default New Family Member issue

I'm not sure if this is even an "issue" or even if it is DLV specific or just M2TW specific however I found it odd.

One of my Generals had a new family member but his wife has been dead for over 6 years. Did my General become a hermaphrodite? Is this normal? I'm asking since I don't usually go to the family member tree after each "New Family member" announcement to check.

    Thanks.

Wow, that's freaky! Never come across that before. (So I'm totally useless - sorry.)

But maybe he's not an hermaphrodite, just the ultimate nechrophilia success story (i.e. he really thinks his wife is dead sexy... ...and she was just dying to get pregant... yes, again - sorry).

It's a M2TW/Zapppa death mod (used by DLV) bug. Unfortunately the game code only recognises that a child can't be born if the father dies or if the general is unmarried.

There's two ways you can look at it. Either it's a Zombie princess or the General remarried but forgot to change the wedding photo on the mantelpiece. The choice is yours my friend..

    it's not a bug, it's a feature.
in fact, it's better to think of it as a bastard child beeing accepted by the family and added to the mother who can't refuse anymore.

I wonder if the son will have a trait like "Illegitimate Child" when he comes of age. Too bad I started a new campaign with the 5.4 version.

he won't. would be better, but afaik there is no checkin between the birthdate and the deathdate of the mother, only the father as harry lime stated.
i've expericened one postmortembirth in one campaign myself. in fact, that was the only reason i turned it into an AAR (and therefore haven't upgraded past 5.2) :hmmm:
