The beta suffered a wonderous 'Unexplained error and will now exit', works for some people, will not for others bug which unsuprisingly took KK a week or so to kill.

The beta test is now running smoothly , so its a matter of finding the real bugs, tweaking etc. But since KK does actually have a real life (as do the beta testers), its fair to say that he is working hard on the new version, but that he will not and should not release it until he is entirely happy with it. Unless you have modded its hard to imagine how many hours it takes to do some of the tasks, and thats assuming they work first time.

So a little patience, good will, and perhaps a few prayers, will see version six released in the not far distant future, but asking for an exact date is a question that cannot really be answered.

The new links? Yeah. But there are also beta patches and some things were hosted in the Megaupload, so not all links are so easy to get.

Just that King Kong himself dunnows, when will he release it - because he must consider all the bugs, balance and some very minor and fast suggestions... Around 3 MAJOR bugs, leading to CTD's were already done away with.

And he wants to test the performance of anything that's changed (i.e. how AI will behave on the new map, won't any addition screw anything and how strong are the new factions), because it is much faster to release a beta, test it for few weeks, sending minor fixes to users, release a few temporary patches and compile the one major final 6.0, and hopefully update it with new content and not fixed old.
