Help needed with RTW installation!

Hi all!

My friend has a problem with installing Rome -Total War. When he tries to install it, autorun detects it automatically and the menu opens (Play...Install...). When he presses the install button, the computer says that RTW is already installed! RTW has worked before on my friend's computer, but he had to uninstall it to get a certain mod working... He said that the uninstallation took dozens of minutes, so my inpatient friend pressed the Cancel button, and now he blames himself for this... After that he deleted all files and folders connected with RTW, but it still didn't work... I hope I can give You some pictures later today...

Now my friend has to play Worms Armageddon, because he doesnt have any other games and he is very depressed. Is there anytihng that can be done?

I dunno. But I don't think deleting all the game files will uninstall it. I think what you have to do is go into Programs, and there should be a folder especially for Total War. I think one of the selections should be "Uninstall Rome Total War" and then it should come off.

No idea then. Unless he wants to clear his harddrive, which I don't think many people would want to do.

Oh sorry, I didn't notice there was Technical Help discussion forum...
But anyway, it is working now. My friend found a way to uninstall RTW for good and then he installed it again and now it's working. Thank you!

Please tell me what was the way he used!! I have the same problem as ur friend, only it was with a reinstall.
