    Default CTD in battle screen

After several games playing as the ERE and the Hephtalites (Ruina Romae mod, v.7.03 with corrected CA strat for 7.03), I decided to try and play as one of the Germanin factions.
But I've found with both the Visigoths and the Franks that whenever the battle screen opens, as the camera zooms onto my assembled army, I get a CTD . I play with the "No scripts" option switched on. Could anybody help me with it, please?

    Thanks for your attention

install the optional CA vegatation textures. It seems the Visigothic general especially is cranky with the IBFD 7 textures on some hardware.

Hey, many thanks for your advice !

It has helped with the Visigoths , but strangely not with the Franks , many thanks anyway, As I also had some trouble with the Lakhmids and Lombards, I'll try with them now.

can u also try changing your video settings in your preferences file?
    most likely candidate is:
    BATTLE_32_BIT:TRUE

change this to TRUE/FALSE as necessary

Well Ramón, I've tried and changed that setting you said, and I'm still getting those CTD, not only with the Franks but also again with the Visigoths . What I've noticed now that I didn't earlier is that the Visigoth general is invisible, I can only see his horse in the screen.

    Thanks for your bothering. anyway

I had a thought just now...can I safely copy/rename/paste the equevelent unit textures from vanilla BI for the rebel desert cav (Behoudin cav i think) visigothic general (gothic general) and the Frankish general (several of the Frankish cav units seem to not have officer sprites, which cause CTDs when the said non-exsistant officer is killed)into the IBFD and Rio's mod texture folder? I strikes me that the textures you created for the IBFD mod aren't compatible with certain hardware, and this needs to be address before you do IBFD8.0, and the best hotfix to my mind is to 'replace' the IBFD unit textures for the units in question with the vanilla BI equevilents.

P.S I had installed the CA textures option into both Rio's and IBFD, but it doesn't solve the problem anymore for some reason.

Yes you can, but make sure you rename the vanilla textures the same as the ibfd ones.

    Cheers
