    Default NICO MOD FOR DLV 5.4!!!

    hi all i just thought some ppl might be interested in this simple mod for dlv.
    what it does is the following:

    - All cities start more developed (i would think there already were quite a few stone castles and stone walls by 1180 )
    - population levels for upgrading cities and castles increased to much more realistic levels : town to large town 10'000, large town to city 50'000, city to large city 100'000 and large city to huge city 250'000
    - i've modified the descr_settlement_mechanics file to cope with the new populations (its harder to keep cities happy with high taxes).
    - increased movement of units per turn
    - forts are again available and they are permanent once built.
    - recruitable generals (at city hall for settlements and at fortresses for castle, i whis i could restrict it to capital cities but i dont know how)

    i recomend playing at H/VH

    Some DLV triggers for governors are based on taxes and having taxes set at high is the standard for them getting those good traits so hope they aren't too hard to keep at the hard setting

    These were taken out of DLV because the AI couldn't handle them. They would garrison them and the units would just sit in the fort.

    To do this you would add a hidden resource in the EDB (there is a hardcode number of 64). Then add this hidden resource as a requirement for the units to be built in the EDB where you have them. Then go into the desc_regions file and add that hidden resource to the regions you wish. By adding that hidden resource to only the capital regions would then restrict them to be only recruit able in those regions.

    and that hidden resource is already there, just use "metropolis" as hidden resource


    i agree that high taxes is the "normal" of DLV in order to get good bonus on governors, then its quite hard for us to go back to normal taxes...

    anyway we will need taxes on normal to see some city growth it seems


    i guess the good factors for me on this mod would be to have more pop to achieve for upgrades, sounds ok, but all other messures i wont want.

    Hi Nico. thx to made this nice mini mod. your settelment pop setting made dlv much deep & realistic.

    I'm trying to remake your work more reasonable for better DLV campaign experience. It's working based on your edited descr_strat.txt file and I'll defenitely add your name to mod introduction.

    hey nico just want the all city more devloped an faster unit movement wich files do i install then`??

    And what about a late period mini mod ?can you do it?

    Why the game get sometimes a bug when it comes to the rebels tour ? I don't want to play without your mod nico it's very cool to play historical advance cities. Thanks and sorry for my bad english

    yes it happens to me to but even without my mod its a problem im sure the dlv team are already trying to solve, check the bugs thread for possible solutions.
