    Default What is in SS 6.0??

    Is there a thread anywhere about what new features and changes we can expect in SS 6.0?

    I am new to the SS mods but Kong's work is amazing, and am really looking forward to the new SS mod.

    -new campaign map, from europe thill almost india (as far as i saw on the screenies)
    -i think that there will be a persian faction
    -new skins for teutons
    -milan will be replaced by the republic of genoa

    and thats all i know

    The Cuman faction as well... Also some Ornamentum skins and all of their models. Some balance changes and bugfixes as well.

    They won't be... KK answered about NO new factions except the Cumans and Khwarezmians in 6.0.

    Thats bad, I would have liked to have played as Georgia or Serbia. But anyway I am looking forward to playing as the Cumans.

    Dun' worry - there will be time for them in 7.0!

    I am fot both Georgian and Serbia as well - it will make the action on central and eastern parts of the map not just the Byzantines VS Muslims VS Crusades thing, with endlss expansion of Russia, but the real massacre!

    We already have 2 african factions. Last time I checked, both the Moors and Egypt were in Africa.

    *shrugs* lets just be happy with the factions there are. I rather see those getting extra attention and tweaked further instead of more new factions being added.

    Is there much point making a 7.0? There's only so much fun one style of mod can squeeze out of any game, especially with the fairly low faction limit.

    True True, but you can take away some factions and new ones....

    What about new loading screens and better unit shots in unit cards? Did those two projects make it into 6.0?

    Err, KK will use unit cards, once they are complete - so if not 6.0, 6.1 mostly definite! =)

    About African factions - really, the only another decent option would be Zirids, but the faction slots are better to be reserved for anything else, since both Moors and Egypt are spoiling for the crusade, so they should have a big expansion in Africa... And Italians too, especially Sicilians would be nice to sail to Africa. =)

    To everyone - we had 2 ideas on how to free unit slots by merging the Timurids wth Khwarezm and Templars with KoJ.

    the AI could be improved, units could be tweaked, faction rosters changed, skins and models could also be changed for the better, etc.
