Who will the new hosts be when most of their contracts expire in 2009-2010? Letterman will be gone, Craig and Leno maybe, Leno might head to ABC to be replaced by Conan, and the talk is Stewart will refresh the late show for more politicians and a younger audience.

    Thoughts?

P.S. "Leno" is in the Firefox dictionary.

    who?

but yeah for sure Conan is going to be replacing Leno

it would be a shame to see the Daily Show canceled, so I hope Stewart doesn't get a new show.

You know, the Daily Show wasn't always hosted by Stewart. It used to be hosted by Craig Kilborn.

If Stewart leaves they will probably replace him.

Stewart will probably get his own show. Or he'll make it as a stand-up comedian. He hosted the bloody Oscars, for God's sake.

I'm a big fan of the Daily Show as well, but I would still be content to have the Colbert Report. I'd just be happy to see John Stewart get some cred, he really deserves it.

I don't see Leno going to ABC. ABC seems pretty committed to Kimmel, his show does well in its time slot. he's sorta the like Conan's Mad TV. For those that don't get the reference, MADTV on fox (a comedy sketch show) has very good ratings from 11 to 11:30 when most of their audience then switches over to SNL which starts at 11:35. Personally I think Leno is done, and its not his choice but the networks. Leno is a has been, Conan, Stewart, Colbert and Kimmel are the new kings of Late Night and Leno is on the way out.

Conan's been around a while though, right? I've always watched him only, personally... Don't know why, he just was funnier to me growing up.

Generational thing I guess... Though he is like 40 or something...

IMO an up-and-coming stand-up will probably take stewarts place. Stewart will take up the late show and replace letterman, Leno and Furgeson retire, and so the new White Kings are: Conan, Kimmel, Stewart. Conan draws the older to mid-age crowd, Stewart the mid-age to young crowd, and kimmel the wierdos (just like Leno, Letterman, and Furgeson).

If Stewart replaces Letterman there will be some crazy competition between them and the Tonight Show. Stewart vs. Conan. I can't wait.

Yea I look at the brawl for Huckabee. That was funny even without the writers.

How is the Daily Show looking for a younger audience? Teens and 20's are all that watch it. And it is already great/

Conan O'Brien, at times, is the funniest person on TV in my opinion.

That would be amazing. I honestly don't know who I'd watch.

I didn't even think of that! Plus Colbert is on at 11:30, five minutes before the Late and Tonight show start.

Out of all the hosts, however, I prefer Ferguson.
