    Default Diadochi expansion for Roma Surrectum

    I finished my expansion pack for Roma Surrectum. Since some people were wanting it released, I uploaded it to RapidShare:

    This expansion adds the XGM Diadochi greek units to Roma Surrectum. This installment will put the roman-centered Roma Surrectum and the greek-centered XGM together, although you will not see the pyjama-dressed sparabaras anymore (vanilla units that were present in XGM). There are also some reskins made by me.

    I cant garantee 100% that it will work, since its the first time that Im modding RTW, and I dont started a new campaign since 1.5a was out. Backup your files first in case theres some mistake. This expansion only works with alexander.exe, so you have to make a shortcut with the -mod extension.

    Version history:

    1.2.1: problem with descr_strat.txt fixed.
    1.2.0: iphikratean hoplites and median cavalry now available.
    1.1.2: elite hypaspist now recruitable, argyraspidai take 2 turns to recruit.
    1.1.1: corrected wrong reference in export_descr_buildings.txt.
    1.1.0: corrected unit cards and unit info cards reference errors.

    Its the animations. I had make the mod directly over the RS install, and when packing it I forgot some files.

    It requires alexander because it passes the unit limit, which if im not mistaken is 244 units.

    Heres a small presentation of the egyptians. In XGM Diadochi they were still a bit vanilla-based, but here I mixed them with Roma Surrectum units and the result was superb. The pezoi is a post-marian unit, but I dont known if the reforms will work for non-romans. The chain mail was added from another skin.

    wow very nice, good work (+rep). This will certainly add some more
    depth to the game. But do u need Alexander to play it?

    A few questions...

    1. Does this add only Greek City units or units for all Greek factions?

    2. Are the units balanced for RS's style of gameplay?

    3. Could you make it so it doesn't require Alexander? This could be done by removing some of the units in RS and replacing them with these. Theres no need to have two different phalanx units that fill essentially the same role.

    The model limit in RTW and/or BI is 255 models (in DMB), the unit limit is 500 units (in EDB). In 1.5a, I think we use 244 models (so 11 more could be added in) and I'm not sure how many units of the 500 are currently in use.

    Yeh I would also find it great if u could do a version that does need Alexander because most people dont have it. (including me)

    No offense, but those units aren't that good. Might as well wait until RS2.

    Incidentally did you receive permission from XGM to release this material as attached to RS. If you did not it will have to be removed.

    Yes, I received it from RedFox. Although I was not going to release it. I only released because another guy who was trying to do the same modification asked for some help in a private message.

    Yeah, sorry mate, Ima stick to the same old 1.5 version.
    Besides, I can see something approaching on the horizon! I am not certain but looks like it could be RS2!!!
