Performance using EB

Hello people, I've heard a LOT about this mod and I decided to try it out. As it seems it's quite a large mod I want to ask something first. Does EB decrease performance a lot? Especially using the map. Currently I'm playing XGM which has a bigger map than vanilla but not as big as this one and the one in XGM runs ok. Does it affect battle map performance?

My specs:

AMD Sempron +2400
512 ram
nVidia GeForce 512

Should I get this mod? I run XGM fairly well as I said.

Ok, I will try it and see if I can live with the poor fps rate. Another question... does EB replace things in the original RTW folder (data folder and the such) or it installs in a separate folder like XGM?

separate folder i like EB so much, i played it on 733mhz, 512mb ram and geforce 5600fx now i have a new pc so its running like a dream
