OK I've heard rumors and Have seen stuff on the internet that the Quran(SP?) says Kill the Infidels, now if thats true aren't infidels western people?

Infidels would technically be any non-believer in Islam. So Jews, Christians, Atheists, Hundis, the lot.
Although, whether this is actually flat out decreed in the Koran (Quran is an alternative spelling I think) is denied by many Muslims.

You should note that depending on who you ask, Infidels (kuffar) does not include "people of the book", Christians and Jews. Though then again many extremists try to make out that kuffar are non-Muslims, i.e wahabbists in the satanic kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Firstly, Infidels is a medieval latin word that used to be applied to Muslims, the correct term for anyone who doesn't believe in YHWH/Allah (people that do, ie Christians and Jews are referred to as Mu'min, people who believe that Muhammed was Allah's messenger are Muslim). Secondly, no it doesn't say you can kill anyone except in self defense if you are attacked first, even then you cannot kill civilians. Thirdly, I'm sensing retarded ideas about Jihad in this thread. It's a sentence that's taken out of context. There is no chapter in Qur'an saying that Muslims should go out and kill anyone they find non-Muslim. It's usually tied to war conditions and have a series of limitations.

The problem isnt really what the koran says so much as what other people make it out to say .
If muslims thinks it says so and that makes them willing to kill others, then thats problemetic even if the koran says no such thing.

Imam would be educated and sane enough to understand what Qur'an really says but they're betraying their duty and falling for their personal desires. First of all it's a sin to drive people to violence. I admit given circumstances Islam is not a pacifist religion but it promotes peace not wars. Maybe what Islam needs is an organization like Vatican that will educate Imams and assign them to places and then monitor them about their activities but without a figure like Pope.
