Icon5 is there a way to beat the turn limits in the game?

    Hey guys
Im about 115 turns down the road and have less than another 100 to go...(i have about 35 provinces)

is there a way for me to continue playing the game even after i get 45 provinces and the turn limit ends?

or will the game come to a sudden end when alll the turns are spent ?

if thats the case..is there a way to mod some file so as to make me have a lot more turns or something like that?

    thanks

the game carries on, but nothing new happens event wise. so no new buildings or what-have you.

    As long as you win.

I won my Milan campaign with some 70 turns to go and selected continue. The Timurids still showed up and I hope I can still go to the New World.

If you don't meet the win conditions before you run out of turns, you can no longer win the game. But you can continue playing till the year 2000 if you want to (maybe this game has a millenium bug).

I believe you can go to the new world around turn 140 or so... can anyone confirm this?

If I don't reach the targets by the turn limit does the campaign end? Also does the campaign end if an enemy reaches the targets?

I really don't want to have to stop with a turn limit

P.S Why does SEGA impliment a turn limit in the games? every mod that I have seen just eliminates this.

You need a turn limit to sort of give you a feeling that theres any reason to advance in the game.
But you can just go on forever really. After turn 225 nothing happens .But nothing happens well before that anyway

I'm pretty sure its between turn 160 and 165 if you kept to the 2 years per turn time scale

Why do you want to go to the new world? You'll just ge syph and potatos for all the effort - not really worth it. It takes about 10 years to sail there unless you start from Acre in which case it will take 20 years. How much more fun can one have? For more excitement cut an apple and watch it turn brown.
