Just out of curiosity, what factor is it that makes individual female characters impossible in Alexander? I can see the problem in regular RTW/BI (shared portraits, shared models, family tree etc.) but doesn't Alexander make possible having unique characters which have their own special portrait, own special strategy and tactical models (and bodyguard unit) and don't appear on the family tree? Is it the voices or something?

I suppose scripts might help out but generally adoption, marriage, man of the hour stuff is pretty hardcoded and Morrigan will probably end up marrying another woman

If I recall correctly, the Flint novels hinted at The Morrigan being married to The Dagda. Maybe that is a way to solve the issue?

Yes, they did, but how does that solve it?

Unless you make her a family member with an already deceased "wife" with a male name...? Dunno if that fits with the lore though. (oh crap, here we go again with the lore and its restrictions!)

Marriage in ancient Ireland was... flexible, to put it mildly, but I doubt it would extend to accomodate a formal female/female marriage. Do "uniques" actually appear on the family tree at all though? I don't think Lugh does in GAFM for example...

He's not a family member, that's why he doesn't appear on the family-tree. That's also why he can get the Man of the Hour event. But one could get Morrigan into the tree (after setting "Morrigan" as a unique, male name and have her married to another character, who would have a masculine name, though it would of course be under the "female" category in descr_names, probably unique so that no other female uses it... But who would she be married into? Can a portrait be invisible and if yes, would a text appear on mouse-over of that portrait?

Ah yeh!, iirc Wlse's implemented some kind of house system rather than families, so no marriages.

LoTR has a faction symbol, it does have info when scrolled but I can't recall what it says.

I think also as the elves are pretty much immortal there was no need for offspring, played as the elves and I think only acquired two new generals in the whole campaign, god knows how he got around all that though.. Perhaps if all the characters are beyond child bearing/marrying age?

Probably more effort than it's worth..

You can have Morrigan as Dagda's wife and give Dagda a "crow/Morrigan" ancillary that will increase line of sight and personal security?

Gods & Fighting Men - is another plot for lovers of adults.
I wonder particularly what that sentence started life as...

Congratulations however, publicity well deserved and hopefully not the last of it.

Sorry to ask something perhaps repetitive- But I'm new to the whole Mod thing.
First of all- great idea- I look forward to playing it.

Secondly- I let the installer work itself- doesn't seem to have put it in the right place for me.

    I'm using Eras Alexander ( duh-lol)

    And I run Vista.
If someone can suggest a good installation pathway for me, I'd be quite happy.

    Thanks.

Oh- if I found a pathway that works for FATW - NS for my eras BI1.6, will that same pathway work for this?

The pathway will depend on where you installed the game.

Find the game path down to the folder that contains the exes, usually it is
    C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War

but it might be a variation on that such as saying CreativeAssembly instead of Activision.
