    I don't know how I missed this before, but this looks like it will become my all-time favorite mod. Many moons ago, as a teen I read the Kennith C. Flint novels when they came out in print. To now have a chance to play them as a mod, not to mention the characters/Gods of those novels and my own religion, well, is nothing short of a dream come true.

    Thank you for producing this Mod.

    Good novels if you're interested in Irish myth - read 'em all.

    I have made the Fomor advanced (Dark Ages) rather than the implications of modern science that Flint lays down, but I hope you enjoy it all the same.

    can I safely install this mod into an RTW directory that also includes IBFD and Rio's IBFD?

    That Persian invasion one sounds really interesting

    Never mind, I got it to work. It said to install it to the Alexander folder but when I did that it wouldn't play. If you installed it to the normal RTW folder it works (the activision, or creative assembly RTW folder).

    Hound, GAFM will run safely with any other correctly modfoldered mod. No problems can be caused by this mod. You, however, will have to ask the details of other mods in their own forums as to how they are installed.

    Immortal, erm...where does it say to install to the Alexander folder in the installer or instructions??? Most if not all mods are installed to the RTW folder, as is GAFM and as the instructions say..glad you are enjoying it.

    Thx to you both!

    Back to the CTD some are experiencing...

    I loaded up the sidhe riders in CBs - no problem

    I used Lugh as the general in CBs - no problem

    I changed the settings for units from low to highest - no problems

    The texture file seems ok; as do the sprites.

    Can anyone report whether Lugh was on his own in the offending battles or was he fighting alongside other units?

    Saved games would be useful.

    I want to get to the bottom of this.

    I have added a small patch (in RAR form only) and would be interested if players could test a new campaign out and see (if they had it before) if the Lugh battlemap CTDs are still prevalent in their campaigns. We have not been able to detect the source of these CTDs some are experiencing (mainly because we can't get them ourselves!).

    Change log:

    - EDU.txt : missing compensation stats for initial xp added (i.e units rebalanced)
    - map_ground_types.tga & map_regions.tga tweaks to correct RGB value errors
    - sidhe rider, sidhe mount and lugh sprites regenerated

    It seems like download links are dead (Megaupload was shut down.). I would be grateful if you would give us a new download links. I am really interested in Celtic mythology and it seems that this is very good mod.

    bug: when i load a battle with de dannan general bodyguard it says this: "Error report: insuficient video memory to load texture set."

    my specs:

    I have a geforce 7600 GS videocard, ruunning at 256 mb, and 32 bit.

    2 gigabytes of ddr2 ram

    core two duo 2.8 ghz motherboard

    moniter resolution: 1440X900

    what seems to be the problem? I haven't tested other units, this might or might not be the only one.

    I've not had that problem and nor has anyone else afaik - I will however look at the textures and see that I have not done something weird to them that might cause problems with some graphic cards.

    I assume you mean the chariot bodyguard unit?

    I had a similar problem, got rid of it by reinstalling Alexander. In looking for solutions though I found that other people had encountered problems with sprites - try disabling them, either set unit detail to the highest possible setting, or failing that find the DMB (descr_model_battle) file in the GAFM folder and comment out all sprite entries (quick way is to Replace every instance of model_spire with ;model_sprite)

    yeah, but i dont think its just them. a few minutes ago, i tried a battle with other assorted units- it caused the same problem.

    I'm gonna reinstall alex, and try again. maybe it will fix.Edit nope

    also, I don't know what is causing it, because In a test battle, I only used units with models from vanilla.
    ARRG I want to play this mod.
