My awesome General

He single-handedly conquered half of Milan and most of France.

He was about to attack Spain the next day.

Prepared for days in advance, he could take any army and destroy a full stack.

He was dreaded in the entire world, and would kill himself for his king.

He died of the plague the next day. The same day 3 of my best generals, each with more than 6 stars died. Sad day for England.

Am I the only one thinking "meh"? Show me a general with 39 or 40 attribute points and I'd be impressed, but haven't we all had generals like this?

I think the point was that he lost such a kick ass general to something as fickle as the plague, rather than honourably in combat (he might have been a general with 39-40 attribute points had he conquered Spain). Sorry for your loss mate

Yeah, such things can force one to actually scream out loud (can be rather embarrassing when it happens too.)
