    Default Can God blame unbelievers?

In Christianity and the Bible, If you accept Christ and God's commands into your heart, and make an effort to do his will, You go into Heaven. What I ask is, since there is absolutely no physical proof that Christ was the son of God or that God even exists, can God blame the unbelievers who simply don't believe because they are rational and intelligent people that require more than "You need to have faith" to devote their whole lives to one belief? Obviously, we humans have a point in saying that God didn't give us alot of solid evidence to grant belief in an all-powerful creator. Heck the Bible is a circular argument of Christians going "The bible has no mistakes and you must believe it!" then me saying "Well, how do you know?" and them saying "Well...the bible says so gosh!" Truthfully this makes me in those people's faces for such blind ignorance, and their only good response is You have to have faith. And another part is, maybe IF God and the bible are completely true and we all go to heaven to be judged, perhaps God will be more forgiving than we think and it is just the christians of today who are truly judging us as immoral for not believing in unproven crap. Also I understand that God can't make it 100% obvious he exists and is all-powerful or then there would be no point to our 'free will' to choose, but maybe a little more would be intelligent.

    Your thoughts on this?

I don't believe so I could care less whether or not god will blame me. But according to Christians alike, he will and I'm screwed over the whole 9 friggin yards. As the word of god is absolute and this word is found in the bible, rational arguments are of little use.

Could a believer also answer this to me (srry Gambit, I don't wanna hijack your thread - tell me if you want me to make a separate topic ):

As an atheïst I live now, there is no afterlife. I want to have a good and happy life here and now with the ones I love, never causing harm, only doing good (as much as possible). Apart from certain ethical believes this makes me no less different than the majority of Christians. Christians on the other hand live now as there will be no tomorrow (after death)? To me this seems a) kinda hypocritical as you only do good cause you're afraid to be punished, and b) if I live my whole life in honest 'goodness', but refuse god, I still go burn in hell, though I might have lived a better live than other Christians?

No problem, in fact I've thought of this too. For instance I've always argued that most of the sinning I do isn't inherently evil i.e. lust, damaging your body (drugs, mcdonalds) the sort. I'm not a christian but I consider myself and plan to always act like a good person. Yet I say this to my friends and none of them are smart enough to think outside of the box for a second, as they always tell me "Well sin is against god so it's evil!" I'm like just THINK for a second! Bastards, if I didn't love them so much I'd eat em. But you make a good point which goes with my possible God being forgiving, maybe if we don't accept christ and God but are rational enough to keep an open mind AND live good lives that in a way further God's will (I'm not preaching but I think God cares alot about us acting like good people) Plus it's not like I'm saying GOD WILL NEVER AND CANNOT EXIST!!!!!!!!!!!! There isn't a rational arguement that he does, but I'm willing to accept the fact, if given proof.

Well if I don't go to Heaven..I'l kick God in the nuts on the way down, even if he is a spirit and has no body. Then I'l kick Satan in the nuts for good measure.

the Idea centers on the point -- If you want heaven believe in this--- I dont think it makes any claims of truth, it just makes the claim that if you pick a faith and follow it, you will be better off, because thats true.
