Does anyone have a link to this? I really can't get past Halicarnasuss and I have no tactics for it. Can anyone help?

Hey mate
Alexander hey? I've finished it many times indeed! Ahh I usually just go crazy with the armies because you can't really support yourself financially from the cities because at the start its all in a huge mess. This is the best walkthrough I know about.
Tells you about tactics and all. Not much else on the net Alexander was a huge let-down

i didn't know that people played alexander for more than five minutes without being disgusted by it and not playing any more and/or burning it. it seems i have been mislead.
But seriously is alexander really worth paying £7.50 (how much it costs at my local GAME) for?
She was no ordinary girl, Oh Inverted World
Don't worry about the world ending today, it's already tommorow in australia
rep me, I rep you.
Not ATW itself per se, but the LOTR-TW mod is totaly worth the $20.00 that I paid.
"So there I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopowner and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really. But, sure enough, I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show."

The units are fun but personally I don't like the campaign system. So it depends on what you think.

Every time you , god kills another kitten.
If you're gonna hire Machete to kill the bad guy, you better make damn sure the bad guy isn't YOU!

I agree
Well you guys have to keep in mind that the campagin aspect is still in its beta stage.

When you take a city destroy all the buildings and recruit lots of Mercs, there's really not much more to it..I think I did it in around 40 turns.
Didn't play it again.
I agree it's worth buying just for the LOTR mod, also check out Gods and Fighting men.
err i liked it, if you find the Big ass campaign too long then its more for you... Plus you can pick it up dirt cheap off ebay and if you play online you get another cd key oh and the historical battles are the best historical battles ever in any TW game, and then there is the mods.
Overall i liked it...
Isn't the whole getting another cd key thing a bit illegal, or not for this?
Well, if you buy Alexander just on it's own, then of course you still need a CD Key for Alexander separate from your RTW.
Of course another upside of ATW is Halie's mod.
