Soundtrack. Is there one?
I really like the music from M2TW and RTW. Are there available sountracks to buy? or if CA has a free download? I dont want to keep the Launcher open to play music. I would like to take it on my iPod.

Not sure if the same is true of M2, but I know that in RTW the music files were easily extracted using XIDX. In that sense, you purchase the soundtrack with the game almost.

XIDX?
I really dont want to go to that much trouble.
Am I morally okay if I download the soundtrack from some site?
Since I technically own the rights to the files?

Yes, you can legally download the soundtrack as long as you own the game, according to copyright law. I did. I won't provide a link however, as I'm pretty sure that would go against forum rules.
You can extract it as well, but I'm not sure how that's done.

Re: Soundtrack. Is there one?
Mine came with a Soundtrack CD (it was called the Limited Edition so you may not be entitled to a legal download) but it is in a format that few CD players will recognize. Haven't been able to convert it but then I haven't really tried that hard either as satellite radio lets me listen to pretty much what I want, when I want.

I'm pretty sure you can extract the songs from the game using this tool:

It should be legal if you have the game.

The soundtrack that came with the limited edition doesn't even have all the tracks. It's much better to just extract them with the idx tool.
