I'm CTD'ing after like 30 seconds on the main menu.


is it cos I installed the mod over MTW2 1.3 and not 1.2?

or is it cos i edited the .bat to launch MTWII unpacked??

It's not because of playing with M2TW 1.3. It might be though because of the edit.

ok i'll try to run it with the packed MTW2 files and se eif it helps. I'm sure I played this mod ages ago with unpacked, though :S

EDIT: It did not help. I get the CTD running packed or unpacked. ****ing hell

Is it a clean install? Do you have any other mods installed that would install directly into your M2TW folder? What OS are you running?

nope the only other mod is broken_crescent and that installs in it's own folder.

It would've mattered if you had Vista 64-bit

i think the problem has vanished, but I don't know for sure becuase I havn't been sticking around the grand campaign faction selection menu long enough anymore (which is here the CTD happend).


I have another problem with the mod now though. Options such as graphic changes are not saved to the config so I have to set them each time I launch the game.

This is so annoying, i just wanna get stuck in with this amazing mod again.


I'm thinking about re-installing Kingdoms (even though I hate it), just to see if DLV will work when installed ontop of it. Is DLV for Kingdoms better as in more feature-rich, stable, ect? Basically is it worth installing Kingdoms to play DLV 5.3?

Yes it is worth installing Kingdoms for its features that are put in DLV. Also the 4.0PE was the last edition of DLV without Kingdoms and is no longer supported so there will be no more changes to this version. DLV 5.0 and up for Kingdoms are the only supported versions that the DLV team works on. derdrakken has also DLVified the individual campaigns from Kingdoms as well (Britannia, Teutonic, and Americas). The Crusader campaign may be in the works still.

If you click on several factions in the menu the game will crash...it's written in the first post

No problem. I know it can be annoying but sadly there isn't a fix for it yet.
