Amazing AI

This one adds fun to my baktrian campaign.



This army was found standing at the foot of a hill near a small town east of Baktra. When my faction leader tries to siege the small town. They came to aid their fellows, forcing me to retreat and camp. They followed, forcing me to retreat again, and took the empty fort I left behind.

I abandoned my east campaign and moved south. Then after few years they marched to my land!! Directly to my capital. My spy reported their location and forced my faction leader and his army abandoned their defensive position against seleucid and travel back to defend the capital. They didn't hesitate and lay siege.

in RS1.5 i lost all of afrca to rebels, because i had to send all my legions against combined armies of gaul,germania and getea

All of africa? how many settlements? What did the rebels do?

WOW !!! Damn rebels ... ONLY ONCE have rebels ever laid siege to me. And at the time i was playing as Arche Seluekia. Pretty rare ... and kool too

if you play on very hard you get besieged by rebels all the time

Sometimes the AI do very smart things.. but very few times...they are rare , i call it ...luck..


What really kills the game AI is the use of ships.. they stay there in their own land and doesnt know how to take a ship and invade another territory. Very rare times have seen Ai soldiers aboarding a ship.


Really this game will be a dream if it had a real campaign multiplayer ,where every faction could be controled by a human (or AI player) (at will) and where every battle can be manually controlled by the humans players. It will awesome since no land in your kingdom will be safe anymore , since every other player can invade your lands with a full army in just a few turns with the aid of ships.

I do play at VH campaign difficulty, and I do encounter besiege by AI (but not all the time). But for so many years I play RTW and mods, I never see AI travel a long distance and lay siege on you.

The Eleuthoroi lays siege to my cities at Hard campaign difficulty as well. Just thought I'd point that out.

Wow, you mean the rebel full stack march to one city, siege and took the settlement, then left it to siege the next one until they took all 5 cities?

And did you try to repel them?

i had full armies in the cities, i destroyed 3 stacks but they kept coming. In RS africa is a real pain. I had no time to destroy them with my own legions as gaul,germania,macedon and greek cities were all ganging up on me so all my legions were needed in europe. It was mainly their ellies that killed me
