    Default Attention Span?

I ask this here, because I think our attention span has very much to do with what we believe.

If you do not have a long attention span, you will likely believe in shorter, will believe in a statement of brevity rather than reason.

If we have a longer attention span, we can put more emphasis on learning the things that don't directly affect us as opposed to us paying attention the things that do directly us and really our Priority 1..

This ignorance in the belief that the things that affect us directly right now are our only threats is nonsense. It goes further to damage us than anything else. It is a blindness we wilfully or unwittingly allow ourselves to be put through that damages us. It is that that is unnecessary.

It is that that allows us to pass judgment without a second's thought on what the person had actually done, it is that that allows us to abstain to ask why?

Why? Just ask why, and we will learn. Just ask "why?" and focusing on attention span will allow us to entertain possibilities without accepting them. It is in the question that we will find our answer.

Too metaphysical? Think of it as... we find our best solutions in only looking at how we find these solutions, rather than the solutions themselves.

Attention span. It is also what divides us.

You could almost be talking about the character trait that scientists are now referring to as conscientiousness. It gives the ability to suppress the immediate in lieu of the expectation of a longer-term goal or plan. People with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder appear to have a severe dearth of this trait. People with impulse control problems have less activity in a part of the brain in the prefrontal cortex. So the personality trait is very likely based there. High scorers in conscientiousness also have a tendency to be more right wing politically.

You conserve today to be liberal tomorrow. Makes sense.

How ironic is it that I read the first line, lost attention, read the last line, and then clicked 'Back'.

And, yes, foresight is the most important tool but it is the most risky and untrustworthy. Who can tell what will happen? Should we spend tax dollars on hurricane helmets or nuclear arms? Either can likely hit and destroy mankind. We just don't know, so we can only look to long term in short term ways.

Actually, i think attention span is only a divide for the short term, not the long term.

When planning ahead it is always good to continue to be critical about the plans made. Foresight is based not only on facts and observations but assumptions and predictions and therefor, as Shyam Popat pointed out; unthrustworthy. There's plenty of time for both "groups op people" to analyse and interprit the developement in those kind of matters and adjust them accordingly.

Moreover, whenever fluorescent square motion is required, it may also be employed in conjunction with the drawn reciprocation dingle arm, to reduce sinusoidal depleneration.
