Help!!!

Ive got version 6 gold rtr and have enjoyed it for over a year now. Now, randomly ive had some problems.

1st: Every once and a while all the oceans turn to desert. It goes back to normal once i restart the game.

2nd: The game sometimes in battle will be glitchy. Trees, walls or soldiers will flash in and out of existance as I turn the camera. Then after the battle is resolved it crashes to the desktop during the loading screen. As of yet the issues happens in the Iberian area if that makes some sort of difference. This is the main problem and makes the game much less fun. Does anyone have an idea? I would be very greatful if you could try.

I think you have a problem with your graphic card. How many ram do you have on your card ?

If it happened all of a sudden you need to think at what you`ve changed. Maybe you`ve changed the video drivers and the new ones cause these issues. Maybe you`ve upgraded to vista or have changed some hardware...
Also, have you installed something on top of RTW/RTR like a mini mod, a fix or something in this range? Have you put a new command on the target of your desktop shortcut? I remember long ago I had one for the movie editor I think and if left there I had some glitches in battles from time to time. No idea why.
If you could get a picture with the desert oceans would be good. I`m not sure from your description if they actually turn into deserts or are covered with somethign that looks like that. Maybe try and delete/rename the map.rwm file and let it regenerate. Sometimes this seem to help with glitches.

Well i remembered what i did a while back when i thought i might be able to fix a slight delay with the mouse cursor by running the game in low priority(it worked for titan quest). so i did change the path to a bat file that started the game in low priority. so i got rid of that and so far no problems!

So i think you were on to something Forin80 thanks to you both!
