Unspecified error crash - but only during sieges?

I used to get the "Unspecified Error" crash a lot during the battle screen, and a friend told me to delete the SEGA folder and reinstall the game in its vanilla state.

This has only half worked. From testing it out over a number of battles, I only seem to get this bug when I'm in a siege of some sort, attacking or defending...

I haven't reinstalled any of the patches, if that helps.

Any help regarding this would be appreciated.

yeah i am having the same problem, but only for the Stainless Steel mod; vannilla kingdoms works...

Original game sieges are bugged. Go to the General Discussion forum and you'll find a bug list. check it out. How many got fixed in what version, you'll have to check there. Any mod you're playing, you'll have to check with them, including Stainless Steel.
