ach, my dreams come true!
Marvellous stuff!
GNOTHI SEAUTON (Know Thyself) - precept inscribed in the forecourt of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, Greece
MEDEN AGAN (Nothing To Excess) - another precept inscribed in the aforementioned place
thanks.... i think rtw with a great massive graphical reskin, can challenge med2 in that field.... i wanna take rtw engine to his true limits... like a hyper graphical overclockin
my collegue, hint me for this square design... i think it's better because it's a real pattern of the roman senate

Well the Romans and Greeks have different statues?
Would the statue look like Mars or Augustus or Caesar etc?
If you could have more than one statue then well just say this will be a New Rome.
I think editing the Colosseum prehaps making the colour of it slightly darker similar to way it look in gladiator and other films or even skining the triumphal column would be nice to a romans taste like trajans one for example if it is possible?
i dunno if i m gonna put brandnew statues etc!!! maybe i can put one of Hannibal Barca in the middle of roman squareor one reguardin me in Punic dresses in pose as napoleon paint
btw, creating brandnew statues is difficult and then i gotta edit many and many txt, layouts included... maybe i just make a huge reskin for all the cultures
Well, the rome now it's the same, but with brandnew massive graphical reskin, it's like playin to defend or attack a city u never seen before.... trust me, when i play custom battles in rome huge city, i always set the game in pause and i like to walk with the mouse inside roads, avenues etc... as a tourist... i have still many things to reskin, as acquedocts, academy, pantheon, imperial palace, curia etc... now the actual score is very promising... seems another city.... unfortunately many skins are linked to other one and i think i have to create brand new textures for each buildings.... because exemple: roman acqueduct as the some textures linked to the curia etc... so if i edit the bricks of curia, the bricks of the acquedoct automatically will be the same... i m tryin to avoid this... huge work but i could make it
editing the colosseum skins yes... in fact i put statues in the "arches windows".... triumphal colums or obelisks etc are possible in square but i have to re-edit the settlement layouts, calcolating square coordinates and statues ones and make em combine.. tough work..

editing a single city, requests months and months of hard word (i mean, re-modeling, re-skinning, re-txt etc)... so because we have not that time (RTW engine has huge limits), i decided just to reskin some buildings. the settlement i chose is the roman huge city in custom battle..
that pattern has been found in many places in rome... nearby the temple of castor, nearby the senate etc
Roman Pantheon
first of all i wanna say, i did my best even if, the final score may be not brillant.... RTW engine sucks.. and many and many skins are shared between buildings.. so if u see textures who are out of tune with others, well it's not mistake .... the guilty's rtw engine
anyway here it is:
marbled exterior, red columns, bronze tile roof
view of the front, decorated pediment
detail of the columns

that looks very cool indeed all i think is that you should put some more textures on it.
Did you remember how dark the buildings here in Gladiator well maybe prehaps u can make the buildings like the flavian ampitheatre and panethon slighter dark than the white and see what it look like.
