    You mean Akvilonn's info ones (which surely will be included), or the small ones? =\

    Small ones.

    Small ones = unit cards
    Big ones = unit info cards

    Akvilonn will take care of big ones (UIC) but the small ones (unit cards) remain a problem. They are just ugly and don't represent the reskind unit anymore. Every great mod like RTR or EB has new unit cards.

    Now when I play Broken cresent and I see all those beautiful unit cards I always wish that my favorite SS will have them too. BC is great but to many jihad MC flying around the place.

    I think we should wait for 6.0 to come out to create the new unit cards, as it will feature the new skins.

    And there should be different unit cards and unit info pics for each level of armour the unit can be upgraded too :-)

    Alas, this is probably impossible to do.

    I've gotten into the swing of making Unit cards, so I might step up and try my hand at making some for 6.0 if KK hasn't done so.

    That would be nice, but I have one thing to say about 'em - I do not like them in M2TW at all, remeber how cute they were in Medieval One or Shogun? Units in full height and in appropriate poses.

    That's alright, I already know how to make them. I've already made two for my Turkish armor mod...

    ... but here is the only problem. I'd need to learn how to make them consistent in size, and what kind of style everyone wants. I like how my Turk unit cards turned out, but they're at different zoom levels, whereas Vanilla units all look the same size, taking up the same space according to their class.

    Full body shot like Echad says? I'm partial to the simple waist up types, although definitely non-static poses all around.

    Well, you can create a poll for it... And use cinematic editor to make the biggest possible zoom, then cut out and resize them, I think this should work, altjough you do have a bigger experience with them, than me.

    If someone could make MTW-I unit cards for MTW-II, that would be really a treat, the vanilla MTW2 unit cards are acceptable, the new faction unit cards for Kiev and Aragon, were a little blurry and distorted.

    Just make a poll on which style the players would prefer, with multiple choices.

    I would go half waist standard size. If you allready have the ways and meanings just go!

    Well, for now we haven't decided on "half the waist", or "full height", AFAIK with same numbers of votes each.

    With the small pixel size of unit cards (about half the size of my avatar), we'd lose a lot of detail if we made the cards depict full-body units. Unless done properly with dynamic poses, it'd be hard to tell apart units that look alike I believe.

    That, and it's easier to make waist up shots, since full body shots involve moving around the legs and waist, whereas the top body only involves arm and head moving.

    @FieldMarshall
    I also thought the new ones for Aragon and Kiev were a little blurry, so I just started to put some of them through a photoshop 'sharpen edges' filter, and this improved them somewhat.

    As we are trying to help King Kong and make SS the best mod for MTW2 gonna make a little pool how new unit cards look like (small ones).
    Sher Khan (God bless him) offer his services to make new unit cards.
    It would be good if Akvilon would make new info cards when new skins come out.
    Echad thinks that the cards should represent the whole figure while Sher Khan and me think they should be more standard from waist up.

    @Sher Khan

    Can you post images of your unit cards. I saw only 1 on the armour mini mod preview. It looks very good but too small.

    I've yet to attempt a cav unit, but I doubt it'd be much harder than a normal unit. I doubt, however, I could match Akvil's efficiency and speed.

    I think it would be good to be in between, as in not full body or from the waist, but a little above the knees. And the unit shouldn't be big covering the whole unit card, there should be space on the sides, this is for infantry since mounted units require the full card. I think a perfect example of size of the unit would be the English armored seargent from the kingdoms expansion. And for mounted units the card should show the full unit that is the rider and the mount.

    I think this sounds like a nice compromise, although MED1/Shoggi cards looked nicer. Sher Khan, have you played the first Medieval/Shogun? THey are much more descriptive there, than the ones in MED2, with a clear show of body, weapons and armour... Also, the sharpen filter may be used on retouching.

    2 Sher Khan:

    In the example screen from the game, they are half-the waist, and take only the lower half of the actual card, with blank space in top - would it be possible to include them on the same scale, only moved up in order to show the whole body?

    And about static - I would prefer if they were different, i.e. some static, some moving, some striking, i.e. like Akvilonn done with the info cards. =)

    And the last thing - cavalry up the waist would be weird, and full-body cavalry and half-body units would look inconsistent, and man I don't like it... So the from the knees up to the head would look not bad, since showing some unit only by his arms and head is not so descriptive.
