    Hiya!

I recommend playing it at Medium Campaign and Medium Battle until you get the hang of it. Easy is probably too easy.

Personally, I like playing at Medium battle difficulty all the time. I didn't spend all these hours balancing units to turn around and give 'em a random boost.

I've seen you mention this before. Do you have a link to a post talking about precisely what you did.

Thanx for the answers. I will give a try with m/m than first. Is this mod in general working properly, - I mean - no major bugs?

I'd also suggest playing a relatively easy faction to start with. Try Rome or Macedon. Both have central locations on the strategy map and can produce flexible and powerful armies.

Make sure you build an economy to support them though.

    Enjoy the mod.

Sure. It is quite stable. The only bug possible will arise if you use RTR PE. In this case you should apply florin80's patch to prevent revolt CTD.

You know, I don't think so. It's been sort of an ongoing process. Here's a quick summary:
    • Incorporates all MightyMiniMod changes except those dealing with 2hp units (those were fixed in a better way in RTRPE 1.9): http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=91258
    • Changed phalanx units a _lot_ (check the ExRM thread)
    • Cut cavalry recruitment costs in half (so the AI recruits them now)
    • Gave hoplites shield wall and changed them a little

FWIW, that's been my experience, too.

So I assume I should aplly florin80's patch, if I am using the Platinum edition (without BI expansion), is that correct?

BTW, are the pretty high upkeep cost normal, they should be like this??

I presume you are referring to the 'additional units' that have been added as part of the Revolt CTD fix? The idea, I believe, is that normally these units will not be recruited. They will be added to the garrison if the settlement ever revolts.

They can still be recruited - the cost is 33k + original cost

    (AI illyrians did have them!)

I am a noob as well (to RTR that is) and I am wondering whether I can still play vanilla RTW after installing RTR Platinum? I don't want to install it until I know for sure that I can continue to play original. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can as long as it's the mod switch version.
