    Default model-making woes

Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to modelling, but I've been working with GOM's tools and Milkshape and making/editing models with a fair amount of success.

Recently, however, I've tried to import some models from an RTW mod, and I have had no success whatsoever getting the model to show up correctly. I have gotten it to show up with the Jesus symptom, but now that I've tried to correct that and fix it, i keep ending up with them looking like this:

I assume it is a joint/skeleton problem. Is there anyone who can help me figure this out?

The unit does what it's supposed to do in game. The musket floats around and aims and everything, but the actual unit looks mostly invisible.

Jesus-syndrome/Triangle-men are signs of bone assignment issues. You should be using Milkshape 1.8 to resolve this.

Invisible means the game cannot load or cannot find the texture you are assigning to your new unit. This can be caused by error in modeldb, or something wrong with the texture file itself.

But these aren't invisible, just another form of triangle-men. Can you tell us what version of Milkshape you're using?

    I am using milkshape 1.8.2

This whole thing has really confused me. Is there anyone willing to take a look at my model, or are there any screenshots i could take of milkshape that would help?

Well, tell us your process then? This is beyond my experience, but I'm pretty sure you'll need to assign each group to a skeleton.

    @GatorMarine1833
The Jesus-syndrome arises from several problems: unassigned
vertices, etc. as detailed in the FAQ from Alletun's Tome of Knowledge.
However, from your description of how you got your model try this:

Go to the animation key and click it: Then without changing anything
about your model, go to the menu item animate -> Set keyframe and save
off one blank frame of animation. Now try the back conversion with
GrumpyOldMan's convertor and see if anything changes. His converter
expects that single blank frame. If it still doesn't work, post back and
    we'll work from there

(Oh, oh course, make sure all you group comments are defined for every mesh.).
