Titanic kicks ass

I think its ****ing cool as hell.....I'm not embarrased by it, but how can people not like it when the ship sinks, the (people) hits the fan(propellers) and everyone starts dying? The ship sinks, the lights go out, the huge funnell drops on the guy, the other guy gets shot in the head, the ship goes vertical and people fall off and bounce off the metal railings, people freeze, the immortal last part

"I love you too Rose"
"I'll never let you go Jack"
*5 seconds later, lets him go*

****ing brilliant...

Meh, Winslet's tits are alright I suppose. She does get them out in quite a few films though so Titanic isn't anything special.

Its not about the tittays (although they are always a welcome site.) Its about the giant collapsing funnell, the guy getting shot in the head, the people getting groin shots via giant propellers, people bouncing of metal structures from vertical ship, the hilarious final interaction between the two main characters.

Seems like this forum is filled up with wimpy men scared to tell their own opinions, Titanic is gold, the last 30 minutes are cinematic gold of death and mayhem. Whether you insecure lilly livered boys like to admit it or not.

Well, I guess I'll join you in playing Devil's Advocate and mention that I too actually think Titanic is pretty cool..

I mean, sure most of the romatic stuff is incredibly wishy-washy, but the moment the ship gets in trouble things are fast-paced and terryfying. When the ship starts sinking and everybody gets panicky, when the first officer kills himself, when one of the funnels crushes a boatload of passengers, when the stern rises out of the water and people slide down to meet their watery doom, when the rich people try to stoically await their death only to find out it isn't as glorious as they imagined, when the captain drowns in his cabin, when the ship breaks apart and the power goes down because some sailor decided to touch the breakers and when those people fall down and crash into obstacles on their way down to the water, the film is at the top of it's quality..

Titanic can be appreciated for it's technical achievements and for it's amazing depiction of a disaster at sea.. Those are the reasons why I like it. Screw the romance, give me the disaster!

Its how the film ends what counts, I never paid attention to the starting bits but when the ship hits the berg and starts sinking and all the people start dying? You can't beat that, that is some quality film making right there son.

When those two people fall off the back of the ship and 1 gets a titanic groin shot off of Titanic's propellers? That was brilliant. Or when Di Caprio's friend is swimming away all happy and minding his own business and then that giant funnell drops ontop off him?

Thats some great great stuff.

The thing is, most of the movie is romantic borefest, and thats not manly thats just lame. Even if the last bits were well made. It only makes it half good.

I thought Titanic was a nice movie. Very suspenseful at some parts, you really hope the main characters live. And to think that all of this happened. It must have been horrible there.

It doesn't kick ass when you watch it 33 times as a six-year-old boy. Man, I was obsessed with that whole Titanic subject.

Revoking your man license....oh that brings back memories.
