    Default Suggested Difficulty?

What is the suggested difficulty settings for BC? Vh/Vh or Vh/M? Just wanted to find out what setting it was meant to be played on or if there were any reasons not to do Vh/Vh such as other mods where the AI units are already receiving bonuses. I'm really looking forward to trying this mod out and it looks great from what I've read and looked at. Thanks for the hard work.

Considering the fact that lots of people have been suffering AI spamming massive stacks during campaign I'd say go for a medium campaign and very hard battles on your first try.

    Medium is too easy.

I'm gonna go ahead and jump into it on vh/vh. My only real concern was if AI units were "buffed" so to speak and would be unbeatable on higher battle difficulties. I'm all for the challenge on the campaign map. Thank you both for the feedback.

I always play VH VH. I get stomped down sometimes in the early game, but then if you just won all the time effortlessly what would be the point? How exciting is that?

I'm playing H/VH as ERE. The early game was quite easy, but in the 13th century I am constantly outnumbered 3:1 or more. That said, the AI is pretty helpless in battles as far as tactics go (I'd like to see something as competitive as Darth Battle AI in BC) so I end up winning 95% of all my battles. But the challenge is fighting army after another, after another, after another...

i would do H/H, it's still a very nice challenge, and you don't get the AI spamming (or as much) as mirage said(good luck trying to beat the mongols on Vh/Vh)

It really depends on what faction u play with, with armenia on H/H the turks were throwing huge armies at me making it impossible for me to fight back, but with the khwarezm shah I managed to create a big empire on H/VH tho the Mongols are kicking my arse now.

I'm playing on H/VH now. I played on H/H before, but I found battles to be a bit too easy to win. But I like a challanging game, so maybe M/VH would be good too.

I do H/VH. But battles are always too easy.

*EDIT* This is why I often autobattle and deal with the consequences, it add some challenge.

I'm finding VH/H just fine. I'm not a big fan of harder battle difficulties because it doesn't make the AI smarter, just harder to rout and some other bonuses.

It was nearly impossible to beat the Mongols however on VH, they are very difficult to defeat. BC isn't that much harder than vanilla... the enemy makes huge stacks, but the campaign AI is more passive and reasonable, so most wars are on your terms.

they might be the same and I compared their heavy cav stats to mine and my lancers are tougher, but they got huge amounts that completely crush u. I always heard that u had to fight mongols from out of a settlement but they siege them with multiple armies and the other armies make sure that nobody interferes so basicly I had to defend the first settlement with a full stack of my best troops who counted less than 2k together against 3 armies who had more than 7k soldiers.

I play on H/VH almost every campaign i do. Rarely i play VH/VH, when i get factions with good starting positions like R'us in some MODs of MTWII...so i play VH/VH.

that's why i like harder battles than campaign...i like a very diplomatic campaign with many alliances and few-but important- wars and i've found hard campaign the best under that way...

On the other hand when i'm on the open field i like very difficult enemys, ready to do everything to win. that's VH without doubts.
