Hey Doodz,
I am very intrested in getting into skinning. I really like to draw...ah on the paper you know? xD
I don't know much about digital stuff. I recently downloaded GIMP, which seems to be a nice programm and GMAX too.
I downloaded a plugin for GIMP which allowes me to open .dds files. But I have some questions:
If I want to reskin a unit, is it enough to edidt this flat little thingy with the bodyparts streched over it? How big should this file be? I tried to edit one but it crashed ingame maybe because it was over one MB big...
And how to open .cas files in GMAX?
greetz so far
I somehow cannot edit my post...
I always get a warning message, when I am saving the texture file in gimp, it is like "the file seems to be a volume map, but not all layers have the same size, thus a volume map cannot be written."
What does that mean? Do I have to do?
