Icon5 Faction traits/specialization? (smith, napoleon, sailor...)

In descr_strat.txt file each faction has two traits assigned. Some of them are professions (like smith or sailor) and some are names (like napoleon or henry). What do they mean? Do they affect the game in any way?

Another question, can swordsmiths guilds be built in 2 settlements only???

And one more thing... just don't laugh! What does "deus lo vult" mean? I know deus=god but what about the rest?

Those two traits determine the AIs thinking in the way of building different buildings before others, what units they lean more towards in building their armies, etc. The first one is more for AIs attitude towards buildings and second more for army composition. These affect the AI in a pretty big way. About the guilds it seems like they are "hidden_resources" and if they are listed under that region then those are the guilds available in that region. Deus lo Vult means God wills it.

    Thanks a lot Aszrayel!

Hmm... only 2 settlements have swordsmith_guild hidden resource. I have to admit that both were really famous for exeptional weapons production but only 2 in game... :hmmm:
