    Default Trade ports: no more than 3 routes??

    Hello people.
    I am new to this mod and let me say I like it a lot, most of all the new traits, biographies and buildings descriptions that enhance so much the historical immersion.

    I have a question: in EB the trade ports have double trade routes than in vanilla RTW. The basic port provides 2 routes, the medium 4 routes, the biggest 6 routes. In RTW vanilla it was 1, 2, 3.
    The problem is that, even after building the biggest port, my cities are still capped at 3 trade routes. I have all of Italy, plus the islands, plus a good deal of the african coast, but none of my cities has more than 3 naval trade routes.
    So my question is: are trade routes hard-coded capped at 3 per city? And in that case, what is the biggest port with 6 routes good for?

    Yes, it seems that the first level of port is hardcoded to give you one trade route, the second two, and the third three.

    Does thus mean that creating a maximum port of 60000 gold is utterly useless? Or do you/or will you time compensate this with increase in tradeble goods. Since ports were so important during ancient times, I think 60000-gold ports should severely increase the amount of tradeble goods (if they can't have more than 3 routes) to signify their importance.

    What's the EB-team stance on this?

    They are? It's been a while since I've been able to play EB (or any computer game for that matter), but I recall that the third level of port didn't give any additional trade. Simply put, the game ignores any trading fleets above the third, making the first level of port work as advertised, but the second level and third level use only three trade routes. Off course, it could be that it simply doesn't display export above the third route, but I have never tested that.

    The highest level of port (natural or artificial) is indeed apparently useless. I am not sure if the EB team is going to do something about it. They ignored the problem in the 1.0 release, but I hope they will change it in the next release.
