How can I add the non-playable faction such as the Barons Alliance or Venice to the campaigns so I could play with them?

You have to find descr_strat file that is relevant to the campaign you play. If I remember correctly, the path is: Your Medieval 2 folder - mods - (choose the campaign folder ) - data - world - maps - campaign - imperial_campaign. In that file, you will find nonplayable part. Simply move the factions you want to be playable to playable part.
But I do not believe it will work for Barons Alliance or Venice in Crusades. Both are emerging factions so you will have no army or settlements at the beggining. So the game will considere you to be defeated.

btw. the same procedure works for Grand campaign, except that the data folder to start with is not in mods folder, but in yout Medieval 2 folder.

You could just make hotseat available and when they emerge just do 'control x'. Havent tested it but it should work.

Follow the instructions and start your game with hotseat enabled. Then when the BA emerges, open console with the right key (Can be any of these: ' ö ~ or other) and type in ' control Barons Alliance ' (i do not know the right phrase, you might want to try Baron Alliance or something) and then type ' control x (x is the faction you started the campaign with)

Voila, youre now playing the BA. But as the BA can re-emerge etc i do not know if it works.

I tried t ounlock the factions like I did in the Grand C. but it says the road can't be found. I guess it is because of 1.2

well you just need move them in descr_strat to playable zone and modify EDB and EDU, to make them able to build and recruit troops, this must make them playable...
Common sense removed due being Disruptive.
