    Icon11 Unpacking files?

    Greetings,

It's been a while since I've been here, but I just purchased the Medieval II Gold Edition and I seem to be lacking some campaign unpackers that were mentioned in some other posts. I'm guessing these campaign specific unpackers came with the expansion but were not included in the Gold Edition.

I'm attempting to retrieve the text files containing information on buildings so I can edit the number of allowable building slots for units.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this will require me to unpack the files for a particular campaign, edit said .txt files and then run a .bat in order to utilize the edited files?

Any information on if this is correct and how to undertake it would be much appreciated.

Yes, you will need the unpacker to unpack the files, edit them and use a bat (or altered shortcut) to run the game with those new files.

I'm not sure if the unpacker tool is available for download somewhere. But it's not even half a Mb, so I can e-mail it necessary. I also have some adjusted bat files to extract only text files into a backup folder. I prefer it this way to prevent the game from overwriting anything and I have an automatic back-up system.

I think I messed up my unpacker command line, as it does not unpack any longer, could anyone check if this is correct?:
    unpacker.exe --source=..\..\packs\*.pack --destination=..\..\ --verbosity=1

It seems my tools folder is alright, however the unpack_all batch shows a few lines before closing quickly.

This is very annoying as I need a few vanilla models.
