    Default Family Members having kids

    I want to start by saying that I love this mod and the depth it brings. It is by far the best mod I've played for MTW2 and I've been playing most nights after work for the past week since I downloaded it. My only concern though is that my family members refuse to have children. I am playing as Denmark and about 15 (30 turns) in and have had no reproduction in my family tree. Is this normal for the mod, a bug, or just a fluke?

    It might be just a bad luck. I remember my first campaign in M:TW I, many years ago. I conquered half of the map and lost the game because my royal dynasty died. They all died of old age, not killed in battle or assassination.

    Make sure you have some kids before you adopt, take man of the hour or marry off your princess'....Also how many kids you have is connected to how many provinces you have ( you have a greater chance if your generals equal less than the number of provinces you have. Generally if someone is offering to marry your princess every turn and you say no for a number of turns....How can I say this politely....You'll pop one out......

    I would prefer if the family line was not connected to how many provinces you have. I think it should be a different element of the game, sort of another dimension to roleplaying or diplomacy. I feel that having it tied to # of provinces places too much pressure to expand militarily. I like games that have many ways to win, and I think it would be better if family line was one of those ways.

    Perhaps a script could be invented that brought the "pruning of the family tree" more into the forefront as a strategic dimension to be developed.

    Sadly that is hard coded into the game so there is nothing the DLVelopers can do to change it. Same with choosing faction heirs, only princesses of the KING/HEIR become "playable" etc. - all of which we would all like to see but sadly is not possible.
    The best you can do is mess with the properties in descr_campaign_db and change to following vaules to something lower to make all the unmarried women in your family tree effectively "dissappear" after a certain age.
    <daughters_age_of_consent uint="14"/>
    <daughters_retirement_age uint="45"/>
    Or you could try the old conquest idea and gain some mroe land

    Doh! They have to be married?!?! jk

    I am not at 8 cities, 3 of age family members and 2 daughters and 2 sons coming up. Hopefully my fully aged family members will stay alive as I only have a king, his heir, and one general.

    My trick to the new kids coming is to cheat in a trait I made... gives +100 fertility... lets see fate stop that one! LOL
