Obsessive AI

I'm playing as the Macks and am embroiled in an intense war with the Seleukids for Asia Minor. One settlement they keep sieging over and over is Nicomedia. They are obsessed with taking and holding this one city. The city itself have changed hands between us close to 8 times (no kidding). As I am distracted in the West by the Romans and Greeks, I don't have sufficient forces in Asia Minor to blitz the Seleucid cities and make Nicomedia an internal province. In the times that I do manage to put some breathing room between Nicomedia and the border of our respective empires the AI bypasses my border towns and sieges Nicomedia. lmao

Anyone else run into a time when the AI seemed completely obsessed with one city or another?

Carthage = Lilybaeum/Aleria
Gaul = Bononia/Arretium
Illyria=Arretium

I think I read somewhere that certain factions are programmed to "get" certain cities. I think it was a way to program the AI to be historically accurate or something like that.
