dds files
ok i was trying to mod your mod when i came upon this problem when i open the dds files in the banners folder all i see is black with some coloured bits running down it any idea why i cant see faction symbols :hmmm: im using the xnview program found in the tools section i can see the second file but none of the others

Maybe you should try Photoshop with the Nvidia DDS plugin, DDS thumbnail plugin and finally ATI's The Compressonator - all are fine tools.
Photoshop with nvidia dds plugin lets you edit and export
DDS Thumbnail plugin lets you preview the textures as thumbnails
The Compressonator is just great for viewing DDS textures

good old brian gotta love him i tried the compresonator but it wouldnt open the ones that where problematic
also while im here i was playing the roman rebels (i cheated there not suposed to survive after all) and when the marian reforms came about i lost the ability to recruit samnites any idea how to put them back??

Some of the banner files are just a colour plus and an alpha layer. Use something like DTXBmp to take a look at the alpha layer.

found it just before your post haha my little project is just about complete my only problem is i cant seem to change the banner that hangs from the city walls just in case your wondering i was altering the greek citys to be sparta and was using the diadochi lambda stuff to alter it hope no one minds its only for personal use anyway
