    Default Bug

I don't know if others have experienced this either, but every so often during a battle, the game will CTD. I receive no error message, nothing. It is always during battles as well and I know it is not because of my video card because the frame rates in both battles were in the high teens and early twenties. Could someone tell me what is wrong cause it gets very annoying.

If you have an ATI card it might be that causing the problem....Have you change First time play_TRUE to FALSE. Also try change autosave_true to false aswell.

Auto save can trigger a bug? Well thank you and I will do all that you said, but my video card is not ATI, and my first time play is set to false. If I do not respond in here again, the problem is probably
    fixed.

Its usually VC that causes it, and it has nothing to do with framerate but the internal workings of the card from the Game engine and the Large unit sizes used in SPQR. What VC do you have?

Lol, a very bad one, but if it is the video card which is at fault here it is ok as I am going to use an Nvidia Ge-Force 8800GT from now on. Lt, could I ask you a question though. If I put a video card into my computer with a faster processing speed than my processor, what will happen?

your VC performance will be bottlenecked. your card can only produce what ur processor gives it, and if it's not getting a lot to do, then it won't be as awesome. i have an 8600 GT and it does fine. your 8800 GT should allow you to see the fleas and ticks on those barbarians. haha. *slight exaggeration.

My processor is an AMD Athlon 64x2 4200+ at 2.2GHz. Will an 8800GT work fine with that?

yeah, it shouldn't give you any problems. should run smoothly. but there are better options for your kind of card. it's like putting a very big engine in a small car. you have a very big engine, and you're putting it in a four-door. the only problem i see is your power supply unit. i think you need at least 500 watts for that card.
