Default Governing In DLV 4.0 PE

    Hi guys,

Governing in DLV is definitely not easy. I was wondering if you could answer a few questions. Firstly, what methods are there to reduce the "unrest" logo causing unhappiness in certain settlements, even those held for 30+ turns?

Secondly, any other way to beat squalor aside from building Town Halls? It's becoming a problem in a few of my settlements.

Also, if you could scrutinise my observations below:

    - Generally build farms last. It's better to let a city glow slower and more stable.
    - Be on the constant look out for heretics. They can cause cities to revolt.
    - Build churches early. Religious unrest can be a huge problem.
    - Islands are fairly well behaved and secured. Make islands economic powerhouses.
    - Have taxes keep more than 100% happiness.

If you have a lot unrest (up to 80% or something like that) there can be a foreign spy in your settlement.
Recruit an own spy and you have a good chance to get the enemy's spy out.

Ok i`ll start from unrest. In cities it`s good to keep big amount of cheap troops like peasants or archers. Build mentioned town halls and barracks. Build those buildings which increase happiness. Castles are less liable to unrest but they have lesser income too.

But more important is squalor ! To avoid this You must build farms and build up Your economy in first place. It`s most important thing to keep taxes on lowest level in big cities. It`s make squalor to grow slower.
