    Default Help a tech problem

This is not exactly about the mod but your the people I kinda trust so plz help.

I have 4 mods downloaded for bi xgm xgm diadochi forth eorlingas the new shadow.

I uninstalled RTW Bi then RTW then Patch 1.3 I used the add/remove programs.

The shorthcuts for the mods stayed I thught they were going to be gone after the uninstall I tried deleting the shortcuts but then it said I would have to go to add remove programs to get rid of them. I couldt find the names in add remove programs.

So I tried reinstalling rtw but the autorun wouldnt work I went to my computer and clcked on the rtw icon that had appeared over drive f it didnt work.

Help something happened and I cant reinstall.

I've also noticed that you should use the RTW Uninstall program that they provide. I recently had a very similar problem and had to manually delete the RTW and associated folders. I then had to use the uninstall program provided on the first disk of Vanilla.
    Good luck Kreig!

Go to your star menu, then all programs, then delete the entry that says Rome-Total War.
"So there I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopowner and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really. But, sure enough, I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show."

    11) Close the registry editor.

Once the registry keys are removed, we'll need to remove the game files from your hard drive. These instructions assume you've installed the game in the default directory.
    1) Double-click My Computer.
    2) Double-click the C:\ drive.
    3) Double-click Program Files.
    4) Double-click Total War
    4) Right-click on the Rome: Total War folder and choose delete.

Remove the RomeTW.ini file from your hard drive.
    12) Click the Start button > Find (or Search) > Files & Folders.
    13) Search your C:\ drive for a file named RomeTW.ini.
    14) The file should be located in C:\WINDOWS.
    15) Delete this file.
    16) Reboot your machine. At this point the game is completely removed from your system.

    (...)
After you do this you should be able to install RTW again.

Right so I followed the directions posted but for the last part I cant find the rtw ini file in cwindows.

It still wont work when I put the game in so I ust have done something wrong.

Heres what I did unknowingly in order.

    Uninstalled rtw bi
    then rtw
then patch1.3 whic was seperate in add/remove programs
    then game would not reinstall
so I went to program files and deleted the rometotalwar file
game still wouldnt install so I followed maximus instructions but i guess i did the second set first the game still wont install.

Did you try putting in disk one and clicking "un-install" when the menu pops up?
