In my Marian save I'm facing yellow death in Byzantium. Not fun

No Arutima I don't know the ptolmies. I got marian on my game now and im havnt a hell of a time defeating the ptolies pikes in thrace. I Left Mace and Hellenes alone in Thessally and Greece and parts of anatolia as a buffer but fighting the ptolies for tyrnes and Byzantium is becoming a pain in the arse. I send full legions against them and I get crushed.

if you saw my marian save game, you will see that the ptolemies destroyed : AS, baktria, pahlava, saka rauka, They are killing the carthagians (thanks to an army with 6-7 3 golden chevrons family members with 3 golden chevrons galatians swordsmen)

To the ones that want to pick up that save game, i recommand making 12 legions for the time you take byzantium (ptolemies will surely attack you then)

And invade carthago, alexandria, syria and asia minor all at once, with 3 legions at each place. Gotta cure that ptolemies infestation.
