Hey what are some movies in which there are frequent acts of gratuitous violence? For instance, where someone might walk up to a stranger and snap their neck for no apparent reason. The kind of stuff that makes you laugh and say "What the *****?".

You two have much to discuss.

    Random acts of violence, eh?

Look out for the deleted scenes in Harry Potter and Half Blood Prince, where Hermione beats Ginny until she can only eat through a tube.

Clockwork Orange for sure. I haven't seen American Psycho but I've read the book (Bret Easton Ellis)and it's freaking demented.

Anything Quentin Tarantino would come close, I think. You know, Pulp Fiction or my favourite From Dusk Till Dawn.

Wasn't there a movie about some thrill-killer US kids also, a boy and a girl?

RAMBO! There is no other movies where you can see an army deploying artilleries against a small wooden village filled with unarmed civilians ...

    Okay, **** OFF!

CANADIAN BACON! Remember where the Delta Force members were in Niagara Falls and one of them stubbs their toe? And of their squad simply walks up to them and shoots them in the head?

Absolutely most random in a movie! By far.
