    Default Making Money

    Hey guys i saw something weird, when i was using rome i was making money, but then after i toock Iberia, north Africa (Not Ptolemy) and Anatolia almost all of my settlement has a positive income mostly about 1000+ and a few -300 income in Gaul turn after turn i lose money more than ever thats why i stopped my Rome campaign, and im even Alliance with the Germans and i have full stacks of soldiers in forts on my northerns border is that the reason why im losing money?

    Probably, open up the finances scroll, then look at the right hand column, there will be a slot marked something like, army upkeep, or such, that shows how much you are paying for current soldiers. Also, there is a spot for building expenditures, that takes up the most "real" money, as in money you see being spent.

    Yeah i finally noticed while im conquering Asia Minor i had full stacks of Cohorts at Italy and full stacks of Auxilia at Spain. How can i stop this?

    Disband your men. Just move them to any province, then select them and press 'ctrl + d', this also adds as many men as were in the unit to the population of the city.

    Do you have the AI controlling your settlements or are you controlling them manually?

    Keep garrisons at a minimum - frontline troops should not be anywhere there is no fighting going on.

    I usually only play with one or two full stacks in an area of conflict and keep the rest of my empire garissoned with two units of town watch per city (maybe more for the more rebelious natives).

    That's pretty much what I do, there shouldn't be anything better than Doryphoroi used as a garrison. Unless you know you're going to be sieged.
