    Default CTD on Vista 64bit

    Im not sure if any one has had this problem.

    Im using Vista 64bit, 4gb of ram.... and have a good pc spec..

    I have installed Rome Totalwar which came with patch 1.5 installed. Vanilla Rome Totalwar works fine... no crash's at all. I Install EB 1.0 it loads up perfectly... until... I get to the main menu.. I then get a CTD. For the life of me i cant figure it out. I have looked in Eb's technical forums. I cant find any thing to help me. Has any one got any ideas? or any suggestions? Would be appreciated.

    Btw I can remember a little while ago, about certain ctd's. You kind of had to delete a map file? Or some kind of file. Is this is a similar kind of problem?

    Have you tried the fixes in the "Validation Tool" sticky thread?

    Don't forget the EBv1.2 fixes
