    Default Can't run DLV 5.0

    Have just installed DLV 5.0 to try out. I have no previous versions of DLV on my computer. I run on XP and have extracted the DLV files into my MTWII folder. When I go to run the game I get a fatal crash to desktop message!!

    Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    Whats in your system.log?

    C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\logs

    Also, at what point does it CTD? The game pretty much always CTD's if you select one campaign then return via the menu to select another.

    I would say, if you arent even getting the loading screen its probably driver related. What gfx card do you have, and what drivers are you using? Obviously this is moot if you can run the main vanilla M2TW.

    The only other issue that causes these symptoms (in my experience) is bad ram, and/or a corrupt download.

    It was crashing shortly after I clicked to launch the game before any of the loading screens. I've fixed it now though by deleting the entire cfg file contents and replacing it with just the following. (for anyone else out there having this problem)

    [features]
    mod = DLV_ext
    [video]
    widescreen=0
    movies = false
    [game]
    allusers=1

    It now launches and works fine. Thanks.
