isn't the AI money too high?
if you think not look at this and tell me if it is fair I have to fight this genourmous army with only a full stack and a couple more soldiers

i don't know if i should cower behind my walls or hide in a very deep hole:hmmm:

Check Ayyubids , if you think thats a lot

They had 25+ stack coming my way once.

Mirage41 said they are working on that for 1.1, i believe.

Not fun to play when it gets that extreme.

Yeah it seems like a "superpower" is able to produce dozens upon dozens of stacks which is a bit too much.

well i got a really good full stack of soldiers to fight them and i'm buidin' up some more, but what really scares me is if makuria or the kypchac attack my frontiers, then that would really be mission impossible.
what i intended to ask is if the scripted money could be reduced maybe to allow them half of this force (yes i've spied and they have a couple more in the fog).

It is also a problem that once an AI faction gets to a certain point, and one always does within the first 150 turns, they are near unstoppable and expand expand expand. The Kypchacks (AI) are about to win and its 1275. I think it would be better for gameplay to strengthen the weaker factions rather than rewarding the haves already. As every game degenerates into 20 stack+ vs 20 stack of mega powers that each 20-30% of the world and overwhelm their weaker neighbors.

I agree Joker. I think what I'll do is cut off the settlement income boost we've given to AI factions via scripts after a certain settlement # has reached and perhaps add a deduction for "imperial maintenance". When we start work on BC 2.0 this is the first thing we'll fix by introducing "rebel" factions and a new civil war script.

I dunno if this is possible but maybe a percentage of corruption depending on the number of settlements the AI has.

That sounds great and would more than likely make the later game much more interesting. I know I would be more likely to actually finish a game at least...

in my opinion if the game is harder than vanilla that's a good thing, also in my campaign ayyubid had many full stacks but you solve this problem by fighting with body and mind :O))) with 3 full stacks of mine, well balanced, experienced and at VH level i destroyed dozen of full stacks ayyubids, in the first two years of war they suffered 12.000 casualties, i had 2.000.
30BC: Ottaviano Augusto becomes the first Imperator, in his 44 years of principate he will bring to the empire peace and prosperity!
70AD: Vespasiano is the winner of first great empire's civil war, rebuilding Roman world after the Nero's dark ages.
98AD: Traiano becomes imperator after that the senateman Nerva adopted him,he will start a gold age for the empire getting it to biggest extension!! 117AD-180AD Adriano,Antonino Pio and Marco Aurelio administrate the empire during his richest and most pacific period, with their good administration Rome lives its golden age.
193AD: Settimio Severo wins the civil war started after the death of Commodo starting the Severan dinasty, his heirs will not be as good as him. 252-285AD Rome lives the peak of III century's crisis, onli the emperor Aureliano will be able to reunite the empire breacked in 3 parts and the great reformer Diocleziano will give to Rome militar, politic and social cohesion after decades of caos. 325AD:Costantino rules alone over the empire and christianity is for the first time accepted by the imperial government.

yeah i understand that but what worries me most is in the long run it'll be very hard to mantain that force forever as for the ayyubids they'll still send you stack after stack and so on..
