So I guess this is where you can almost have a little summary of your Campaign, eh?

The campaign I have now is not my first, my previous and first died down when my GREAT computer died.

So, that left me with some experience under my belt, my brother got a new computer and I continued my campaign on there. I soon understood the concept of legion building and fielded enough to take the north of Italy. While I was holding against the Germans and Gauls, I then sent armies to other surrounding areas, [Greece, Sicily, etc.] After that, I got really vexed with Gaul and I actually somehow, someway was brave enough to go into their country and take all of their settlements. [With only Premarius legions.] So, With Gaul, Parts of Greece, Sicily, And Parts of modern day Croatia/Bulgaria [Macedonian, Dacian, and German territory] I soon had enough money to plow through all of Greece and the surrounding areas. After kicking Greece into Turkey, I turned my attention onto Carthage. When I first stepped into their Iberian territories, I screamed out, "Porco-Canne!" They had an army everywhere and it was not funny. I was still pre-marius, so it was a little hard trying to cut-down their armies. Luckily, I soon was able to train Republic legionaries and started doing my best keeping my fingers in the ground. I thought then to use the typical Roman approach to war and went to Carthage herself and took the nearby settlements. It helped a lot because it cut back their man power and helped stop their training of elephants. Then, most of their settlements in my control, I turned my attention towards Turkey and Egypt. Egypt started attacking me non-stop and I decided to form a 7 legion army and attack their homeland. I also sent constant Republic legions to Turkey and since I was a master at attacking Greeks, I took their coastal cities and got the prized Silver Shields on the field ASAP. I took the fight into the mountains and during that I had started taking Egypt's home Cities. I also heard that Germania and Dacia was weak from a war from Gaul and Scythia. Very soon their territories were in my control, with all of Egypt's Nile cities as well. I may be a little playful on the forum, but I am a true Roman on the battlefield!

hehehe nice one i just killed off all carthaginian armies in the south of italie the rest of my legions are trying to hold back the gauls and germans so attacing an other faction is not a possibilety jet

ok here is my first story of the tenth.
The First Tenth
When the XX Valeria Victrix and XXV Martia suffered heavy casulties in a stunning victory over the Carthigians under the command of Titus Lutatius. Unfortenately his collegue died in the battlle and there wasnt enough "recruits" to have another legion too. Two Carthiginian armys were coming in the west so the decision was simple. Merge these two legions together and theyll be a great force against the Carthigians. But there wasnt enough men to even do this so they hired mercinaries to help fill in the gaps. These mercanaries also had strong feelings againsts the north africans- having deserted them. But Titus knew that he couldnt have two seperate eagles and different standards, so he renamed the legion the tenth and just like Caesar later on gave them the bull standard, showing how strong they were. Then he started training these hard veterans together so they would have unity. Livy even stated that these men were the best soldiers he had seen. After the elephants they faced in the last battle they werent afraid of these beasts any more. Just to asure them more Titus hired some elphants of his own. They came to meet the other legion to face the next two armies.
Livy never stated what the other legion was probably because he just was amazed with the strength of the tenth legion.

im in africa and i merged two legions together. i didnt invade spain yet. just like caesar did i merged two legions together to create the tenth

I just started playing SPQR again, but at one point my Empire was huge, my armies unstoppable, and my economy exponentially rising. I had all of Iberia under my control, all of Italy including the Alps, Greece and up to Macedon, I was invading Turkey, controlled all of Carthage, and was heading into Egypt. I was steamrolling everyone who came in my path.
