I sneaked into romans's back while they're fighting against the macedonians, took the whole Sicily and destroyed one half-stack army of theirs. I found they're being screwed too much and could die just in a few turns, which is bad for my plan to destroy macedon from their back, so I offered cease-fire - I return one city - the southmost one on italian peninsula, where there is a captured eagle, and also give 100k money. They accepted and I retreated all but garrison troops, but then they called back all armies from northern italy (where macedonian armies are) and sent into Sicily, intended to fight me. And by starting war against me they also lost the alliance with spain, which could provide certain help against macedonians.
So why, why must they be so stupid and unreasonable? They are too weak and cannot win a two-side war against two superpowers. It seems to be against human players only, as I have seen many times AI factions negotiate with others to avoid two-side wars. But this time they don't even get a cease-fire from macedon! (macedonians have no reason to accept, I think, as they have nowhere to expand to otherwise)
It's sad that I have to kill them now. Poor romans, sigh.
