Im Hooked...

Hey guys,

Let me start off with wow.... last night all I kept saying is 1 more turn... lol I have to work the next morning for 10 hours, Im up at 6am and its 1 am and my wife is in bed probably mad. lol But , i keep saying, 1 more turn.

BTW, I am playing as Lithuania, h/h

I am really astonished at how the battles played out. I was flanked yesterday. I didn't expect it either. I was completely, and utterly flanked. It was awesome. Another thing, it is absolutely tough with the campaign. 5 years in (10 Turns) and I just build up economy, army and sent it off to attack ( I usually would have taken 1-2 settlements by now). I am definetely hooked.

gotta admit.. 5.3 rocks...

I especially love the idea that I cant determine the enemy army size and command strength .. I actually have a purpose for the spies.. and if they get killed and I try to attack.. who know I may attack an army twice the size of mine... I COULD ONLY HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know Im going to ramble.. but now if only we could reduce the sight line of watchtowers, spies and settlements... maybe ...just maybe then the AI could surpise me instead of me having 20 turns to prepare for there measly attack!!!

Are yall playing main campaign or custom campaign?

Is it fun to play custom and bypass the field cost?

If you like more of a challenge then go main campaign. You will get used to deducing the costs from the amount your treasury screen says you should have next turn. Reading the handbook helped me when I first started on this type of stuff. Otherwise the version which has the no field cost would be the vanilla style campaign.
