Ok so I am looking to make a start on my William Marshal mini mod and I'm reading descr_strat in the Imperial Campaign E:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\DLV_ext\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign folder and it has all sorts of entries I don't recognize as actually being in the game?
e.g.
^ They definately are, as we know, but these:character Matilda, princess, female, age 25, x 193, y 268
traits IAmPrincess 1 , NaturalPrincess 2 , GoodPrincess 1, CharacterAges 1, PrincessTurnsAlive 1
character Richard, named character, male, heir, age 26, x 195, y 270
traits Factionheir 1 , LoyaltyStarter 1 , NaturalMilitarySkill 1 , GoodCommander 1 , ReligionStarter 1, CharacterAges 1, TurnsAlive 1, PresentAtGameStart 1
&&character Arthur, general, male, age 26, x 188, y 276
army
unit Peasant Archers exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit Spear Militia exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit Spear Militia exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
They are in the file but don't appear in the campaign, huh?character Robin, general, male, age 20, x 172, y 233
army
unit Peasants exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit Spear Militia exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit Spear Militia exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit Spear Militia exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit Peasant Archers exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
Or are they 'captains' or something and you don't see their names/details in the game itself?
EDIT: Ahh no its OK, I think I have answered my own question.Looking at the French faction and they are all there as captains etc as usual ..
D'oh.
