RTW not working, BI is?

Hey all.
Well, here is the information.
After a sojourn with M2TW, and a tryst with Broken Crescent (just saying some eloquent words, don't get ideas ), I decided to load my eras RTW in, and play it.
Worked brill. I preferred the original RTW, as BI had less of a RTW feel, and more of a conquer all, and feel little, like M2TW in my opinion.
Anyway, I decided for some mods. There was something wrong with SPQR (It said I must play the tutorial. Is that like a must must, and the game wont work must, or just a recommendation?) and CTW worked fine, but why play CTW with M2TW in the PC as well?

But now RTW doesn't work?
BI will play fine, but RTW wont. Any help?
I will probably try a re-install, if I can't find something else.

EDIT:
How do you uninstall RTW?
When I pop in the disc, there is no uninstall option , and I can't find an uninstall applcation in the RTW folder.. Do I just delete the files?

The error is:

Error: Filename doesn't exist : data/animations/SG 01 idle 01.cas

If there is not an option on your start up menu or in the windows control panel under the add/remove programs list then delete the folder.

You should also make sure that there are no traces left of the game in your registry. There is the following thread that shows how to do this (I've never had to try to do this as I keep a separate install for each mod - my clean versions of the game are unused).

Some mods will overwrite parts of the original installation. If you only use a single install make sure that the mod is a 'mod switch version' (it installs into it's own sub-folder and won't overwrite anything else).

You can also try the setup.exe option.

With Rome disk1 in CD drive use MY COMPUTER to browse to Rome1 disk, OPEN disk double click on SETUP.EXE a window will pop up with 3 options, MODIFY, REPAIR, REMOVE.

In case (or incase w/e) you still haven't figured out, uninstall by using the add/remove programs via the control panel.

Reinstall the game. Patch 1.3 than 1.5. If you still get the error message, start patch 1.3 and than press the repair. Than repatch to 1.5.

Worked for me.
